University of Worcester Rowing Club - Club of the year 2010
UWRC is one of the fasting growing clubs at the university with performance levels to match.
Over the last few years the rowing club has achieved three World Records whilst raising money for a local charity in the:
· Men's small team longest continuous row
· Women's small team longest continuous row
· Women's fastest 1 million meters
We have also won two BUCS medals and had countless head and regatta medals, there have also been five appearances at the Henley regattas. This year, three members were invited to attend GB trials. This is not to mention launching our own head race, the Head of the Severn, now in its second year of running.
A highlight of the season is the annual training camp. The whole club travels abroad for 10 days of sun, fun and training.
