 StudentParents.org  is a new website launched in Autumn 2010 giving parents the tools to enter and succeed in higher education. The online resources include a guide to student finance and a budget calculator tailored to the needs of students with children.

The website runs alongside a new ementoring pilot scheme, putting prospective student parents in touch with parents already at university.

Horizons Fund - Extra Help for Lone Parents

Extra help is available to lone parents in Higher Education through the Horizons Education Fund.

One off grants are made towards fees or associated costs. Awards allocated are between £500 and £1500 per year.
