Hello there!

Representing and supporting students to develop and achieve

Euan Morrison - Vice President Education

My first week at the SU

I am only a week into starting here so I’m only just getting my head around all the parts of Students’ Union (SU) life. Discussions on the upcoming year are already underway, so the excitement of seeing you all when you get back after the summer break has set in early. I’m sure 2017-18 will be a great year and I will  do all I can to help improve the SU experience.

My manifesto points that I will be working towards this year are:

  • Continue to lobby the issues that the Students’ Union face with the University.
  • Work alongside the University Careers department to create an improved Careers Fair for graduate, internships, part-time and voluntary jobs for students.
  • Increase the effectiveness of the Institute Representative and StAR systems.
  • Assist in the organisation of course based events that aim to include everyone and help build relationships between course mates.

I’d like to thank James, VP Education 2016-17, for helping with the handover. James has been a big character in the SU for the past year and has done a great job. He leaves behind some big shoes to fill, but I look forward to the challenge.
