About Us

UoW’s Women’s Basketball is a society for all students and abilities, whether you are interested in performance-based games and training, recreational basketball, or just want to take part in our social events.

Our 1st team is a competitive, performance-based team currently competing in BUCS Midland 2A and is for those who have played before. It is an opportunity to play at a high level and train at the University of Worcester Arena.

We also have a recreational session once a week for beginners who want to start playing basketball, or for those who want to play sport in a fun and sociable setting. Our recreational team will have the chance to play some friendly games or 3x3 competitions throughout the year - such as the new West Midlands Regional Competition - as well as being a part of the social side of our society.

If playing basketball is not for you, you can still be a part of our society! We have a wide range of social events for you to take part in throughout the year, from charity fundraisers, to Wednesday night outs, as well as sober socials such as bowling. If you want to meet new people and raise money for charity, come and join our society!

Women's Basketball is a diverse club who are always looking forward to welcoming new members, so if you are a current UoW student and want to know more, please get in contact via our socials or email our committee below!
