Recreational Sport
Worcester Students' Union and the University of Worcester run a variety of Recreational Sport opportunities that will help you get active, try something new, and find a community of likeminded students!
What do we mean by Recreational Sport?
Recreational Sport is less competitive than what you might imagine when you think about sport at University. This is not about teams that compete in leagues or track their scores in competition, it is more about providing a social opportunity through sport.
Recreational Sport doesn't high levels of commitment or ability to get involved, so we'd love to see you meet people and build connections by getting active on campus.
Please see below information about some of our current Recreational Sport opportunities and details about projects that are coming soon!
IMS Football
Intramural Sport (IMS) Football is the newly formed University of Worcester 6-a-side football league, which is now open for entries! The league is run by University of Worcester Sports Facilities.
Games will be played on Wednesday afternoons on the St John's Campus 3G Astroturf, meaning the league is literally on your doorstep!
The league is open to all male University of Worcester students, regardless of age or ability, so get signing up as an individual or organise your team to get involved. Entering the league is entirely free, so there's no reason not to get stuck in!
To get involved, head over to: IMS Football - Worcester 23-24 on BUCS Play.
In addition to the IMS Football league, all students have free access to book 3G pitch space whenever it is free and not being used for lectures or club sessions.
