Welcome to UOW Women's Hockey SU page, here you can find information about the club and how to join, to make your UOW experiance the absoulte best!!

Our Club is warm and inviting with our core focus being building friendships and developing skills ensuring all our members can use training with us as a fun realease from uni work. 

We welcome everyone, this means if your new to hockey or been playing forever come along. We offer 3 different types of memberships all can be purchased on the SU website. 

Our Standard membership includes training sessions, BUCS matches, fitness and socials. Our Training membership offers a recreational experience which includes the chance to train with us, come along to social and includes friendly mathes. Finally our social membership allows people that dont want to play hockey, a chnace to come along to wednesday socials and events to create friendships with a increadble group of girls. 

Our social schedule is busy! Each Wednesday we offer a night out. Every week we get all dressed up in fancy dress to a theme play lots of fun and silly games, and optionally have a few drinks. We then head off to tramps (our local) for a boogie

We also offer sober socials, examples of these throughout last year include on fun runs, meals out, nights bowling, walks up the Malvern Hills, pasta partys, and an end of year awards night. As well as many nights spent after monday training down at the Wheatsheif Inn with mens hockey.

As well as this we also work with our University and community through RAG (raise and give) to put oon multiple charity events such Bingo, quiz nights and charity matches, to raise money for the universitys chosen charity. This is something we are very passionate about and intend on raising even more money than last year with many more events.

Each year all the sports teams at the University of Worcester go head to head with the University of Gloucester in varsity! This is three days of spectacular sports play, for many of us at the university it is the highlight of our year. This has been particularly enjoyed by womens hockey, on and off the pitch as we have come out victories for the last 2 years in a row. From training, supporting on the sideline, playing and celebrating together it encouraged some of the best memories at University for the girls.

We plan to continue our success in at varsity 2025 so make sure to follow us on the journey!
