Your Voice, Your VPE
Free Your Voice – I promise to work with students, staff and university services to ensure you feel included at University. How can I help people feel more comfortable at university?
- Introduce more peer mentoring programmes. It’s always nice to have somebody you can talk to and guide you in the right direction.
- Training for lecturers led by students and experts. Sharing minority voice and personal experiences gives lecturers a better understanding of their life and potential difficulties.
- Ensure students know the services that are available and take full advantage of them.
Validate Your Voice – It’s important that your voice is heard and, where possible, action is taken.
- Students hesitate to give feedback as they do not feel it is actioned fully, I will work with course reps to ensure you can see what is being done with the feedback you give.
Hear Your Voice – I believe in the power of student voice and look forward to making change on your behalf.
- I am approachable and enthusiastic, whether you just want to come in and have a chat or you have an idea to improve the university, I’d love to hear from you. It was great to hear your thoughts from change week and I hope to address them.
- I’m involved in as much as possible at university including SAP projects, ski society and peer mentoring schemes. If elected, I will work to expand the opportunities at Worcester!
