Emma Davies for VPE
About Me
I’m currently in my final year of Mental Health Nursing and have been the elected course rep for the past two years, as well as having committee experience for two student groups. I am running to be your next Vice President Education to make a change and improve the experience of being a student at the University of Worcester.
My Aspirations
- Make the university buildings more accessible, with gender neutral toilets being introduced to all university sites, a designated prayer room on St John’s Campus and City Campus, and a breastfeeding room on both campuses.
- Integrate the University with the Students’ Union even further by working with course and school reps in supporting them to hold fundraising events for the RAG charity, bringing people together who, otherwise, may not have been involved in the SU community.
- Work to make the rep teams stronger by introducing a team building session at the start of the year, as well as continuing and introducing more rep socials.
- Ensure that placement student reps have the opportunity to have meetings outside of their placement weeks to ensure they have equal opportunities to be heard.
- Use my social media platform to promote a healthy relationship with studying and a positive mental health environment.
