My name is Harrison Jarrett and I am running for Vice President of Student Activities. I am currently a third-year student and also a proud chairman of the men’s football society. This year with the support from the student’s union and committee, the football society have come together as one and seriously improved our image and the philosophy we now stand for. After achieving this, I am hungry to move on further, doing so through improving and making a difference to other sports and societies at the university. I would love to be given the opportunity to achieve this.

Aims I would deliver if elected:

1. Increase student feedback and input through use of drop-in sessions, suggestion boxes, online surveys and face to face contact, ensuring activities and opportunities are tailored around student needs.
2. Strive to improve the relationships between the university and students’ union, with a view to combine academic studies and sporting opportunities as a motivator for success.
3. Ensure all societies are presented with opportunities to work alongside the union to promote their activities and events, including volunteering and charity events.
4. To promote inclusive recreational activities to attract a wider audience in participation and involvement throughout sports clubs, and societies at the university.   
5. Increase social media coverage of all BUCS fixtures throughout the year. Promoting a ‘TeamWorc’ concept, whereby we can make better connections between all sports teams, recognize and celebrate achievements together.
