From 24th - 28th February, your Students’ Union was all about our Leadership Elections!
Six fantastic candidates and their teams campaigned tirelessly throughout the week to encourage you all to get out and vote. They decorated banners, put up posters, answered your questions at Question Time, shared social media posts, and travelled across campuses to talk to you!
SU staff worked hard throughout the week too, manning polling stations, dodging flying ducks, and doing everything they could to ensure you could vote and make your voice heard at the University.
A big thank you goes out to everyone who didn’t duck out of democracy, we received 2944 votes from 1047 voters in this year’s election 🎉
It all culminated at Results Night on Friday 28th February, celebrating all our candidates’ achievements and thanking everyone who ensured the elections ran so smoothly.
But most importantly it was time to announce the winners of the 2025 SU Leadership Elections! A huge congratulations to your new Officer team for 2025-26:
SU President – Ronke Akintan
Vice President Education – Katie Costis
Vice President Student Activities – Olayemi Ogunleye
We can’t wait to welcome them all to the SU when they start their roles in June!
But don’t forget that your current Full Time Officers 2024-25, Ruttuja, Elliot and Jack, are still here to support and represent you during your time at Worcester.
