The Hangar has been recognised as one of the top student venues in the country by Best Bar None (BBN) and at the latest NUS Trade Awards.
The Hangar has recently been awarded Gold status by BBN, a national accreditation scheme that recognises and rewards responsible premises, as well as those that make a positive contribution to the night-time economy. This is the seventh consecutive year that The Hangar has been awarded Gold accreditation, and this year they achieved second place in the national BBN award.
The Hangar has also been announced as a winner in three categories in the NUS Trade Awards; Impactful Collaboration, Student Feedback and Input, and Customer Safety.
Impactful Collaboration was awarded for the teams work alongside the University of Worcester International team, hosting a diverse range of cultural events for university students. The Student Input and Feedback award recognised student-staff member, Ella Page for her work in creating the venues cocktail menu and developing its social media. Customer Safety and Comfort was awarded for The Hangar’s commitment to creating a welcoming environment for students, and ensuring their safety on nights out.
