TeamWorc has done it again and we are your Varsity winners for the third year in a row!
From 2nd – 9th April our Varsity teams faced off against the University of Gloucestershire in 17 fixtures to see who would be crowned the champions.
We kicked off at this year’s Gloucester Arena Day, and we seized an early 6-4 lead thanks to wins from Women’s & Men’s Volleyball, Men’s & Women’s Hockey, Tennis and Women’s Badminton!
Gloucestershire pushed back on Varsity Rugby Day at Cheltenham Tiger’s RFC, stealing the Women’s Rugby point. However, the Men’s team wouldn’t let them close the gap and won their match to keep hold of an overall 7-5 lead.
The Varsity title was still up for grabs for either side on Football Day at Gloucester City AFC! Worcester’s Men’s and Women’s teams didn’t let their guard down and fought hard for a 4-3 and 3-2 victory each.
By the end of the evening, we’d officially won Varsity with an unbeatable 9-5 overall score, but there were still more points to play for!
For the last day of Varsity 2025, we were on home turf at another epic Worcester Arena Day. We started strong with an inspiring 66-56 showcase win from Wheelchair Basketball against Loughborough.
The atmosphere in the Arena was electric as we headed into the final three Varsity matches, cheered on by the home crowd and our Sinner’s Cheerleading showcase.
The wins just would not stop for Worcester, as Dance scored 579-516, Basketball gained a fast-paced 67-53 victory, and Netball rounded off the day with a 57-24 lead.
Our VPSA Jack and the Varsity captains lifted the trophy high at the end of the night, celebrating becoming Varsity Champions 2025 with a 12-5 overall score to #TeamWorc!
