About Us

Who are we?

As a society, we endeavour to not only discuss and share ideas around socialist / broad left-wing politics, but also to campaign on issues that directly affect the diverse student body here in Worcester. We are committed to building an open, welcoming community where students from all backgrounds can unite to further our ideals of liberty, equality and solidarity. For us, this means that students should not just be free to express themselves, but that the economic conditions facing a student should never be a barrier to education and community, and that true freedom of self can only be achieved by dismantling this exploitative system!

Our socials offer members the opportunity to get to know each other without all the serious political discussion, because everyone needs to let their hair down! We plan a variety of socials throughout the year, such as films, quizzes, events with other societies (and more!), so that everyone can feel involved. We want all members to be able to participate in the socials, as not everyone enjoys being out on the town!

Weekly meetings:

Every Wednesday, 3.30 - 5.30pm - We have a different activity or topic of discussion each week, so keep an eye on our Instagram for information! (Room EEG119, but can be subject to change)
