About Us

Welcome to the Physician Associate Student Society. We are official Physician Associate Society for the University of Worcester.

What is the society all about?

Our society is a great way for Physician Associate students to practice their skills and socialise with other healthcare students, allowing peer support and academic development.

The Physician Associate Masters course has been running for over 10 years, making it the first of its kind in the UK.

The main aim of our society is to provide a platform for PA students to practice their clinical examinations and practical skills in a student-led setting, as well as assisting with preparing for the SBA in the university's and national examinations.

Throughout the year, we will endevour to host a wide range of social and academic events, including guest speakers, OSCE practice sessions, SBA exam preparation, and social events.

Our main point of contact is the Instagram page, where we regularly upload practice questions, and advertise planned social events.

Christmas is a dinner party being held in the city centre and will be under events soon.

Meeting times

We aim and plan to meet once a month on a Friday when we have independent study, as long as this does not interrupt any scheduled lectures or online seminars. If anyone has any comments or issues you would like to raise, we can factor this in to the next session.

New cohorts

The society will hold elections in the Christmas period for the new students to hold elections for the committee roles. Each cohort will then decide who is chosen. The new committee memebers will have one year in the post in their final year.
