More information about the Geography Society
This society hopes to incorporate something for everyone, as anyone can join (the society is open to students of any course). This will include a mixture of geography-related sessions (such as career talks and advice, placements and more) as well as a focus on sustainability and other geography-related topics that interest the group. The society aims to provide a social space for individuals of any course to come and meet new people and make friends outside of their course.

You can find the new and current instagram here Instagram or search geographysoc.uow. We will be updating this with information of any upcoming events. Additionally, we have a discord in which events will be announced and any questions can be asked, be it about the society or Geography assignments. In terms of events, we will see what people would like to see but are planning on including career talks, walks around Worcester (with focuses on nature, litterpicking, birdwatching and many more themes), trips and many more. Additionally, we will be holding mostly sober socials, usually earlier, in order to facilitate a larger portion of our society, especially commuters. These will obviously have the option to go out afterwards just the main event will be more chill, with events such as board game nights and movie nights. We would love to have any ideas for both the sessions and socials so feel free to contact us on the discord or instagram with your ideas, we'd love to incorporate them.
IMPORTANT: If you would like to officially join the society please purchase your memberships.
First session is with the nature society on Wednesday 19th Feb !! We will be flower pot painting and you will be able to take them home afterwards (This is only available to memberships holders)
