In Music Society, we pride ourselves on our ability to create a space in which people from all experience levels can feel at home. New and improved for 2025, we have worked hard to build this society from the ground up, bringing a new face and feel to music as a whole at the University of Worcester.
We meet weekly on Friday evenings to practice and hone our talents, preparing pieces to hopefully perform in a showcase. Every Wednesday we hold a social, an event in which we all celeberate the week by going out to Tramps Nightclub and playing games. Sometimes these may be held in the university instead, offering a variety of drinking and non drinking socials. Different opportunities through Music Society will be available to all.
Additionally, Music society offers two seperate memberships. We offer a preformance membership for those members who wishes to join us in actually preforming at the showcases we organise through the academic year, and a social membership for those who merely wish to take part in the social aspect of our amazing little community. Of course, those with only a social membership are more than welcome to still attend the sessions in which we practice out instrument and band dynamic, even if it is just to hang out, or watch the practice!
In Music society, as we play music and work together as a band, we are bound to build connections with each other through hard work and teamwork. Therefore, we urge everyone who wishes to join our society to do so!
If there is anyone wondering if they should give it a go, then get in touch with our committee or reach out though our actively used instagram! they are more than happy to have a conversation and answer any questions you might have about what we do!
Keep an eye out for members of our committee in other musical oppertunitites around Worcester too!
Thank you,
