Netball opportunities at performance, development and recreational levels.
At the University of Worcester, we are passionate about both performance and inclusive netball. UW Netball is the largest female society here at the University of Worcester, with over 70 members currently. There are vast opportunities for students to become involved in elite, developmental and recreational netball, whether that be as a player, coach, umpire or volunteer. The UW Netball society consists of five BUCS (British Universities and Colleges Sport Leagues) teams, and has development and recreational sessions that are ran weekly. Our club culture here at UW Netball promotes enjoyment and inclusivity, with performance characterstics engrained in the DNA of the club.
Here at UW Netball, we foster values of togetherness, cohesion, accountability and teamwork, with members of the club embodying these values in every aspect of their participation in the club.
About us:
The club offers a variety of opportunities to meet other netballers who wish to play competitively or for their own enjoyment. Our weekly social events are every Wednesday, after BUCS matches, where members come together to have fun away from the court. The society embraces the idea of celebrating all achievements and continuing to be a strong, supportive network that is inclusive to all. This has been demonstrated by the team bonding that takes place throughout the year, all teams supporting one another from the sidelines on game days and the friendships that have stemmed from netball. As a society, we place high emphasis on our engagement with the wider community, updating all on our upcoming fixtures, socials, or special events we may be hosting.
