Sports Club Membership
Memberships are an essential part of university sports clubs and cover a broad array of components throughout the year. All memberships have to be paid prior to playing in any fixtures.
Failure to pay membership will result in you not being able to attend training sessions or be part of the club in question.
You can choose either to buy a Standard Membership which covers your membership for the whole academic year or a semester membership which covers your membership for the semester you purchase it in. Students also have the option to use their University REACH account to purchase their membership through.
Sports membership includes:
- Training facilities and times
- Affiliation to your National Governing Body
- Playing kit (team dependent and if applicable)
- Referees (if applicable)
- Coaching staff (if applicable)
- Transport (minibuses / coaches / fuel) (if applicable)
- Elite Personal Accident Insurance
Checks will be carried out every week to ensure all memberships have been paid by all match day players and compeition entrants.
Please note that we reserve the right to stop a student representing the SU or the Univeristy in Sport. This is if we feel there are concerns about your attendance and/or engagement with your academic studies. The SU and the universtiy maintain a dialougue on such matters, so please bear that in mind.
Society Membership
Memberships are an essential part of Societies and the fee enables the society to purcase equipment, go on trips and organise events. All members of the soicety must pay the annual membership fee as determined by the committee to take part in all activities of the society.
