What is an accreditation?
Accreditation is a formal recognition process by which an organisation is evaluated against established standards to ensure quality and competence in its operations.
Worcester Students’ Union collaborates with the university towards two Sustainability accreditations: Green Impact and Responsible Futures.
Both accreditations ask WSU to document their progress towards a diverse range of sustainability criteria. By identifying strengths and areas for development in its sustainability efforts, WSU can develop targeted strategies for improvement.
Green Impact
Our latest Green Impact Award came at the end of the 2022-23 Academic Year where we were rated as Very Good which is the second highest level of accreditation.
We continuously work to maintain our achievements in the SOS-UK Green Impact Award each academic year.

Responsible Futures
We are a Responsible Futures Accredited institution, a joint certification between the University and the Students' Union, demonstrating our commitment to social responsibility and sustainability across both formal and informal curriculum.
This accreditation signifies our fostering of an environment where social responsibility and sustainability can flourish and evolve, encompassing environmental sustainability, ethics, wellbeing, social justice, global citizenship, and moral responsibility.
