Clean air and reduced pollution are vital for the environment as they protect ecosystems, biodiversity, and human health.
Pollution harms plants, animals, and water sources, while clean air reduces health risks and supports sustainable living, ensuring a healthier environment.

Clean Air Day is a national event dedicated to raising awareness about air pollution and its impact on our health and the environment. Celebrated annually, this day focuses on educating people about the importance of clean air and promoting actions that can reduce pollution, improve air quality, and protect our well-being. Clean air is vital for human health, as poor air quality can lead to respiratory issues, heart disease, and environmental damage.

Worcester Students' Union supports clean air initiatives through the following actions:
- We promote resources and free workshops on social media and in our all-student email, helping students learn more about air equity.
Follow us on social media.
- We incorporate ways students can address air equity into their roles with the Union, as part of student groups committee training and councils.
Join a society, network or club.
- We encourage sustainable travel by providing accessible maps for travel between campuses and offering an international student rail guide to make train travel easier for international students.
- We actively promote and support bike hire and the campus bus service as sustainable transport options.
