What your Membership Means

This page outlines what you get out of your Network membership and the importance of official joining the Network through the website. 

Network Membership 

Memberships are an essential part of Networks and the process allows the committee to be able to contact you and include you in all activities of the network. All members of the network must purchase the annual membership to take part in all activities of the network. 

Health and Safety 

All members of Students’ Union Networks are covered by Elite Personal Accident Cover with Endsleigh Insurance.

Data Protection 

Please note that Worcester Students’ Union is the Data Controller and details of how we process your data including how long we retain it and your rights are detailed in our Student Data Privacy Notice.

Worcester Students' Union takes its responsibility to data protection very seriously. You can view our Data Protection Policy and all other relevant documents here. If you have a query regarding data protection, please contact sudataprotection@worc.ac.uk. 

Worcester Students’ Union takes the responsibility of handling your data very seriously. When joining a network we will use the personal data we hold on the membership system to process your membership and enable you to access the services provided by your chosen network. We will also use the information for monitoring and reporting on memberships of network. We will provide, internally, your name and email address to the committee of your chosen network. All committee members are volunteers within the Students’ Union and will have received appropriate data protection training before gaining access to your data. The processing of this data is necessary to provide you with the services associated with membership of your chosen network. 

From time to time we or the network committee will email you to update you on events on campus and the activities that may be of interest to you as a network member. If you don’t want to receive emails from us you can unsubscribe at any time by either clicking on the link at the bottom of or emails or by logging on to www.worcsu.com/login and editing your details on the contact options page.
