At Worcester Students' Union, we’re excited to offer a Book Swap Scheme at St John’s Campus next to our Welcome Desk.
This initiative encourages students to share their love of reading by exchanging fiction books they’ve enjoyed for new titles to explore.

Reading plays an important role in wellbeing, offering a chance to relax, reduce stress, and improve mental health. By participating in the Book Swap, you’re not only discovering fresh stories without spending extra money but also helping to reduce waste by recycling books and minimising the environmental impact of buying new. Read details of the scheme.
How It Works
Participating in the Book Swap is easy!
Simply bring in any gently used fiction books that you’ve finished reading and place them in the designated swap area on campus.
All students can take a book – you don’t have to donate.
Reading for sustainability
We’ve set up a book swap shelf in the Sustainability Hub, located in the Thomas Telford Building. Here, students can find a range of books on topics such as sustainability, climate change, nature, and equity—perfect for those looking to expand their knowledge and make a positive impact.
